Collector beads

In the 18th and 19th centuries, glass beads were shipped from Venetian, Bohemian, and German factories to African destinations and during the last few decades sold again for re-export to the Western world. These beads, along with the diverse and rich tradition of African beads, are the specialty of Eye on Design. Some of the best known beads include chevron, millefiore, batik and Dogan.
